Why do we do it?

The wounds of war run deep, yet love has the power to build bridges beyond the pain. Through the Nachamu Ami program, Hungarian christian families offer comfort and hope to families in Israel. A short getaway, a warm and friendly environment, and a caring community can provide much-needed spiritual renewal and strength.

Our Mission

The Nachamu Ami (“Comfort My People” Isaiah 40:1) program was born during a special time. Many families in Israel are facing hardships and uncertainty because of the war. With this in mind, we wanted to give them the chance to step away from their daily challenges for a few days. Through this program, christian families in Hungary welcome them with love, hospitality, and friendship—creating a little haven of peace where they can rest, recharge, and rediscover the strength of community.

  • Peace and security in a family-like environment

  • Cultural and natural experiences

  • Relaxation – for children and adults alike

  • New friendships, community

  • Free of charge: accommodation, two meals a day, travel within Budapest, community programs

(We can provide pork free or vegan but not kosher food. Participant's responsibility: meals during the day, purchase of airline tickets)

What kind of experience are we offering to our guests?
